I decided to experiment a bit more with infrared photography and have taken this shot in Clapham Common Park in London today. I have used a long exposure of around 5 minutes to capture this shot. Since the sun was not too strong at the time, the photograph has some extra noise, but I think it just adds to the character of the image.

I had the pleasure to go on a helicopter sightseeing tour of London yesterday with the London Helicopter centre in Redhill Surrey. The trip was taken with a AS 350 Squirrel. With 140 mph top speed we reached London in just a few minutes to fly along the River Thames giving me some opportunities to make use of my camera. The weather could have been better, as most of central London was covered in mist, covering the glass of the helicopter. However I still managed to get some quite nice shots of famous locations such as Battersea Power Station, Houses of Parliament, London Eye and the City of London with its skyscrapers. I have added a few images to my galleries.

I went to the World Naked Bike Ride 2010 in London and Brighton again to take some photographs. Every year in cities around the world people ride bikes naked to celebrate cycling and the human body. The ride demonstrates the vulnerability of cyclists on the road and is a protest against car culture. I have uploaded some galleries on www.bikewars.co.uk

Below is on of the images from the London ride.

I went to the Clapham Common Fireworks Display, which started yesterday at 7.30pm. The display was really great and surprisingly was free to attend. If you go to the Battersea Park one on Saturday, then you will have to fork out £7….

Made me feel like new year!

My wife Lara studies Nutritional Therapy and is working on her Dissertation Research Project, trying to evaluate general public awareness of and attitudes towards supplements and their usage and its correlations to general health awareness. I have helped to design her website and get a little questionaire online, so that anyone can participate anonymously. She is trying to get around 200 responses, so please feel free to forward her website to anyone who can spare a few minutes.

The results of the survey will be published on her website as well, so you will be able to see the results of your support. THANKS

Just got back from the London Freeze, a London Snowboard, Ski and Music Festival. They built a 35 meter high ramp with a length of 100 meters, from which spectators can get nice and close to the Best in Snowboarding and Skiing. This photo has been taken in Greenwich Park looking on to the Maritime Museum and Canary Wharf in the background. maritime-museum-greenwich-2009

Now this time this photo was taken without filter. Only one car to be seen in the distance. Again this is all part of the demonstrations going on today around Cannon Street.cannon-street 02
