I had the pleasure to go on a helicopter sightseeing tour of London yesterday with the London Helicopter centre in Redhill Surrey. The trip was taken with a AS 350 Squirrel. With 140 mph top speed we reached London in just a few minutes to fly along the River Thames giving me some opportunities to make use of my camera. The weather could have been better, as most of central London was covered in mist, covering the glass of the helicopter. However I still managed to get some quite nice shots of famous locations such as Battersea Power Station, Houses of Parliament, London Eye and the City of London with its skyscrapers. I have added a few images to my galleries.
Just came back from Tolouse in France and enjoyed myself for a few days. We had a walk with friends on the Rivert Garonne in the early evening hours. The bridge “Pont Neuf”, which is actually the oldest bridge of Toulouse featured a lovely display of changing colours introduced by illumination from below.
The following photograph shows one of my little fun projects. I have used one of my 3D scans that was taken of my face and created a 3D CAD model of a chocolate bar thatwas then 3D printed on a 3D Systems Projet. I have taken a mold of the model in a food rated silicone that was then used to produce chocolates in the shape of my face…more info on 3D scanning and 3d printing can be found on ThingLab
